Ashleigh Lou Wilson
CEO & Founder at AuditMate
Ashleigh Wilson is a San Francisco-based Entrepreneur, raised by a used car salesman and an elevator guy.
Tapping into her roots, Ashleigh opened and sold multiple small businesses by the age of twenty until ultimately landing in the elevator business. She excelled in the industry and was leading global research projects and being mentored by the CEO of one of the leading elevator companies.
It was quickly discovered that the customers were an afterthought and she made it her mission to prove that putting people first is profitable. Ashleigh left the corporate world and founded AuditMate, the first-ever elevator and escalator auditing and management software.
Ashleigh is a CEO who gets results without sacrificing human dignity. In this new vanguard of leadership, if you’re not values-based and human-centric in your approach, no one succeeds. Be excellent to each other.

Ashleigh is scrappy and aggressive, with a big vision for AuditMate, the first-ever elevator and escalator auditing and management software company, in an industry, she knows so well. She has surrounded herself with other industry experts who join in her aim toward those lofty goals. Collectively, she and her team have 117 years of industry experience, which gives them first-hand insights into the customers’ problems over many business cycles and market environments.
With her stepfather and uncles working as elevator technicians, consultants, and managers, Ashleigh literally grew up in the elevator industry. When she graduated from college, she was recruited into the global executive program at Schindler. She spent five years there and saw firsthand how the company profited directly from contract confusion and a focus on elevators, not on the people whom those elevators served.
With a desire to revolutionize the industry, she determined that such transformation could not be done within its current framework. She got the idea for AuditMate in September 2019 and initially introduced it to family and friends who were already privy to the problem.
Launching the product at the start of the pandemic was actually beneficial for this startup, as potential customers had the time to slow down, review their contracts and get the education they needed to see the value AuditMate could bring. As buildings now see a return of tenant demand, property managers who were able to integrate AuditMate’s solutions are far better prepared for the return to activity.
AuditMate has raised over 2.5 Million in funding and is managing hundreds of elevator portfolios for clients like Nuveen, CBRE, JLL, Stanford Health, and more. Ashleigh is on a mission to educate and empower building owners and managers to get the most of their elevator contracts while keeping passengers safe.

Growing up in Spokane, Washington, Ashleigh Wilson’s life was full of ups and downs. Literally. Her stepfather worked for an elevator manufacturer, and she spent hours on the job with him, cruising elevators and escalators like rides at a fair.
