As seen on
“On a windy but sunny Saturday morning, Andreas Okholm and his three colleagues from the startup KiteX.tech meet on the scenic grass field down towards the fjord at DTU Risø. Here they will test fly the latest prototype of a flying wind turbine, which the team has been working on for the past 3-4 years to realize.”
“This innovative and super-lightweight mini wind turbine can be set up by one person in just 20 minutes. A clean power source, independent of the public grid. Can be connected directly to a mobile power station. Suitable, for example, for mobile homes, caravans or tents.”
“It weighs 10 kg, can be set up in 15 minutes and, depending on how the wind blows, it can deliver up to 600 W of power in either 24 or 48 volts.
Thus, the mobile wind turbine Windcatcher from the Danish start-up company KiteX.tech is especially intended for campers with a penchant for going off-grid in nature, but still having power for a fridge, video camera, computer, etc.”
