A dynamic, once-retired business professional looks to the sexual wellness space for his encore career. Jeff beat all odds, growing up in a poverty-stricken town in Pennslyvania, moving to California in hopes of better opportunities, and striking gold through his wit, relationship-building skills, and relentless work ethic.
Jeff retired in the early 2000s after years of recruiting some of the best semiconductor engineers for tech and manufacturing companies for the likes of Applied Materials, Lam Research, AMD, Motorola, and other Silicone Valley tech giants. In the midst of his career, he was instructed by a multi-billion dollar car manufacturer to discriminate against women and people of color during the hiring process. Subsequently, Jeff sued – and won the nearly impossible feat – going up against a giant corporation funded by personal assets. After all was said and done, Jeff scored a resounding victory, and Hyundai was forced to change its hiring practices.
Ethics and doing the right thing prevailed – a mantra that Jeff lives his life by every day.
In 2009, a close friend and neighbor, Dr. Ronald Gilbert approached Jeff knowing about his business acumen with a new, innovative product developed for premature ejaculation. After giving what is known now as Promescent Delay Spray a 'test-drive', Jeff immediately knew what was in store for the future of the company. He quickly invested millions of dollars of his own money into the venture becoming a majority stakeholder. Tragedy struck a few years later in 2013 when founder, Dr. Gilbert, was murdered in a case of mistaken identity in Orange County, CA.
A year prior to that, Jeff was asked to become CEO of Absorption Pharmaceuticals (makers of Promescent®) and was on the precipice of having the company sold to a large multi-billion dollar conglomerate – the ultimate goal at the time for everyone involved. The same day as Dr. Gilbert's tragic murder, Jeff sent Dr. Gilbert a text mentioning the good things to come.
The months, and the years that transpired thereafter, are nothing short of a miracle.
Jeff moved Promescent to Las Vegas, NV so that he could focus on growing the business to give Dr. Gilbert a legacy and to also provide for his family. He needed a place that didn't remind him of Dr. Gilbert every time he pulled into his garage – they were neighbors after all. The multi-billion dollar conglomerate that was acting as if they were going to buy the proprietary formula and company subsequently, and at the time inexplicitly, pulled out of the deal. Some months later Jeff came to find out that this company ended up purportedly stealing trade secrets and acting maliciously to develop a product of their own after explicitly stating concerns about the total market size. A gruesome 6-
year legal battle has transpired and is coming to a head in January of 2022 where Jeff will finally get his day in court.
Above all else, under the leadership skills of Jeff, the once close to the bankrupt company has been able to thrive. Year over year revenue growth has been pegged at nearly 100% for the last 4-years straight with forward-looking projections to match this for the next couple of years. The Promescent brand transformed from a single product brand to a leader in providing premium sexual wellness products for a variety of needs.
Now backed by over 2000 healthcare professionals in the US alone and with over 1,000,000 bottles sold to couples seeking to enhance their intimate lives, Promescent has captured a loyal audience to their brand.
