Meredith started her career as a software engineer in the Washington DC area after graduating from The George Washington University at age 20. Having grown up with housing and food insecurity, Meredith chose the stability of a steady paycheck over her passion for the arts. After 15 years in the boys club that is the tech industry, Meredith finally raised enough money to start her own venture and with the help of her husband/partner she launched Boredwalk in 2014. She has since grown her business to millions of dollars in annual revenue with a diverse predominantly female staff.
Meredith has spurned conventional wisdom about growing a business, eschewing the lure of selling on Amazon and taking on outside investors.
