forbes logo black and whiteImagine having a human personal assistant who could not understand or remember simple facts relevant to yourself and future interactions; like for example: “Always use my john@company.ai email”, or “I don’t really like sushi”, or “My boss will be in NYC for the next 2 weeks”. You would reasonably expect a PA to remember this and to take it into account in future interactions, restaurant and meeting requests.

Founder / CEO / Chief Scientist – AGI Innovations Inc

2008 - 2017

Founder, CEO, Chief Scientist – Board Member – Smart Action Company LLC

I launched Smart Action to commercialize the highly advanced conversational AI technology developed by Adaptive A.I. Inc. The company offers world-leading hosted call center automation — an IVR with a brain. I ran the company until 2013 when I started a new development company, AGI Innovations Inc, to develop the next generation conversational AI engine. I exited the company in 2017, by which time it was handling millions of calls every month and had many well-known brands as clients. Exited in 2017. See www.SmartAction.ai

Founder, CEO, Chief Scientist – Adaptive A.I. Inc.

Goal: To create a machine that can think and reason like a human. – kurzweilai.net Essentials of general intelligence

I formed this company initially to do R&D on a theory of artificial *general* intelligence that I had developed over the prior 5 years. Leading a team of about 12 ‘AI psychologists’ and engineers we developed various prototypes, platforms, and tools which by 2008 were commercialized by Smart Action Company LLC. At that point the company turned into a holding company.
