“We meet all kinds as we weave our way through the world of wellness. AnnaBlanca and Sage, co-founders of Addictive Wellness, are two of the most hard-core wellness lovers we’ve met in a while – and that’s saying something.

The pair met over Erewhon’s original Tonic Bar, back when it was a free-wheeling scene of elite shoppers and some of the most educated nutrition pros you could encounter in the wild.

They’ve since built a business around super-dark chocolates laced with functional herbs and adaptogens and a few potions and elixirs that are staples on our top shelf.

Try their unicorn-emblazoned chocolate cups here, if you’ve never tried, then sit down for a thorough read of their feature from our In My Fridge series.”

“I really started getting into health and nutrition in my late teens, looking for ways to have more energy so I could stay out in the ocean surfing for longer. A local friend turned me onto my first ‘superfood,’ which was a mix of hemp protein, spirulina, chlorella, and some western herbs like milk thistle. I would just blend it with some juice and frozen fruit and after a few days, I started realizing I was feeling incredible! I thought to myself, ‘If this was out there all this time and I didn’t know about it, what else have I been missing out on?’ This leads me to dive down the rabbit hole of learning as much as I could about nutrition, superfoods, traditional herbal systems of indigenous cultures, and anything else I could find that could enhance the way I felt every day.”

“Addictive Wellness certainly isn’t your average chocolate brand.

Addictive Wellness specializes in raw chocolates infused with superherb and superfood ingredients with adaptogenic qualities, which are said to promote better moods and internal balance. When I tried their chocolate bars, I was so pleasantly surprised by the taste and eery effectiveness of each variety that I became an instant fan.”

“Chocolate goes well with a lot of things: peanut butter, caramel, strawberries, graham crackers and toasted marshmallows, towering ice cream sundaes with whipped cream . . . sorry, got distracted there. I thought I’d tried all the options in my life as a chocolate-lover, but one combination I’d never thought of? Chocolate with adaptogens.”

“In my very first round of outreaches for Conscious Enterprises content, I was reaching out to founders of products that I love for being committed to mindful, sustainable, reciprocal business. Addictive Wellness chocolates are one of those products.

Not only are Addictive Wellness products delicious, but they are sugar-free, non-GMO and full of superfoods and medicinal herbs. They come in functional flavors like ‘beauty’, ‘energy’, ‘recharge’ or ‘tranquility’ that have ingredients that help you achieve each of their namesakes.”
